Dr Peter
Spitzer Co-Founder, Chairman, Medical Director of
The Humour Foundation General Practitioner and Founder of
Wintergarden Medical Centre Bowral NSW
Peter is the founder of the Wintergarden Holistic Medical
Centre in Bowral, NSW. A vocationally registered GP, he
actively uses acupuncture, hypnosis, counselling,
psychotherapy, provocative therapy, nutrition, vitamin therapy
and herbal medicine, as well as allopathic medicine. |

Peter has presented work in the USA, Australian Society of
Hypnosis, Sydney University Post-Graduate Pain Management Course,
Australian Association of Grief Counsellors, psychology workshops,
lecture/keynote to Divisions of General Practice, presentations to
the corporate sector and community groups and teaching medical
students. In 2001, Dr Spitzer was awarded the Churchill Fellowship
to study the international impact of hospital clown units on the
health care system
Dr Spitzer regularly performs open-heart surgery as Dr
Fruit-Loop. His main aim is to infect his patients with joy and
laughter. He is involved in the training of Clown Doctors in
hospital issues and establishing Clown Doctor teams..he visited East
Timor in 2000 to help people who had been through trauma to find
their smiles again.

Jean-Paul
Bell Co-Founder, Creative Director, The Humour
Foundation
Jean-Paul Bell selects and trains the Clown Doctors, and
speaks to health professionals and community groups. In 2000
he was one of three Clown Doctors to visit East Timor and in
2002 he was part of the international Patchwork for Peace
mission visiting Afghanistan. Jean-.Paul Bell’s
career has spanned 30 years of performing in theatres, comedy
venues, at festivals, schools and on television in over 10
countries.. His theatre background is in mime. |

His comedy featured regularly on TV shows such as The Big Gig,
Live and Sweaty , Hey Hey It’s Saturday and The Vizard Show and at
venues such as Melbourne’s Last Laugh and Sydney’s Comedy Store. His
credits include everything from dramas such as GP, Bordertown and
Water Rats to children’s programs such as Playschool and films such
as Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Theatre credits include the role of
‘Brighella’ in the Nimrod production of Servant of Two Masters, and
Assistant Director to Morris West for the Adelaide festival
production of The World is Made of Glass. He has featured in
numerous television commercials, corporate and educational
films.
